| TITLE | Changing Role of the Teacher: As a Guide in a Technology-Enriched Classroom |
|---|---|
| ABSTRACT | The integration of technology in educational settings has fundamentally transformed the traditional role of teachers from being the primary source of knowledge to becoming facilitators and guides in the learning process. This research paper examines the evolving role of teachers in technology-enriched classrooms, exploring how digital tools and resources have reshaped pedagogical approaches and teacher-student interactions. Through a comprehensive review of literature and empirical evidence, this study analyzes the shift from teacher-centered to student-centered learning environments, the competencies required for teachers in technology-integrated classrooms, and the challenges and opportunities that emerge from this transformation. The findings reveal that teachers now serve as guides, mentors, and facilitators who design learning experiences, curate digital resources, and support students in developing 21st-century skills. This paper contributes to the growing body of knowledge on educational technology by providing insights into effective practices for teachers navigating technology-enriched learning environments and offers recommendations for professional development and institutional support systems. |
